śarīram eva mātā-pitarau janayataḥ || 18 ||

శరీరమ ఎవ మాతా-పితరౌ జనయతః || 18 ||
Translation
The father and the mother produce the body only. (Manu 2:147)
Commentary / Explanation
The body is a mere product of matter and is a vehicle for the jīvātman.
